Hey gang, been a while since I have given a life post, so I am here to update you on the Gannon household and what new endeavors, accomplishments, and craziness has been going on under this roof.
First I must say what a beautiful morning. Yesterday we had wonderful family over and our daughter was running around (as usual) the backyard with a smile on her face and giggles trailing right after. So needless to say it’s 8:30 and she is still sleeping.
Never. Happens. Like. Ever.
Me on the other hand woke up at 6:30 and did 40 minutes of yoga and hiked for 30 minutes in our woods. Now I am sitting at the table…. eating leftover fruit I cut up yesterday and my day old coffee too. Oh and typing this wonderful post:)
Life is good no?
So accomplishments we have had recently….we finished the brick patio:) So happy when it came together…I am so proud of my husband too for putting up with my erratic ways and my project obssessions. I love you honey!
Okay okay, so back to the brick patio, its everything I wanted and more! Isn’t it beautiful?? Timeless?? And, dare I say…. a little bit of french country too possibly?? I would love to expand on it eventually, but right now we are resting. I will say digging is quite exhausting. But brick patio is so worth it! And the sense of accomplishment afterwards was soooooo satisfying.
Endeavors… what do I not endeavor in my life!?
Right now I am endeavoring to keep our flower beds weeded and finally succumbed to weed-be-gone from Lowe’s. I hope this helps…our flower beds are looking great its just keeping it looking great that is tough. With all this rain, weeds have been continuous and I am exhausted!
Evelyn and I have been spreading seeds we collected from last year and a lot of the flowers we did plant were perennials. We have a few Iris’s that have popped open and the lilac bush is in bloom (my favorite smell in the garden!). My husband also finished my mini green house!! I think I will be putting strawberries in here?? Any suggestions?
The greenhouse is such a wonderful thing to have.. I love it so much already and I am so excited to start using it. I will be collecting and buying dirt for it this week…eeeek!
Craziness in the Gannon household is the normal. It usually includes with tea/coffee brewing around the clock…lots of little girl laughs, a momma with a watering can, and a daddy in the wood shop making projects for his sweet wife (hah!!).
Will include you in future projects!!
I hope everyone is having a beautiful day and embracing everything to the fullest. Any spring projects you would like to share??
I am currently thinking of making a potting shelf near the brick patio with some pavers we had there before. We will see. Mothers Day is coming up too and I have some really fun ideas!
Also…I have a niece that will be born sometime this week (fingers crossed) and I am so ecstatic!! I can’t wait to hold her, kiss her, and give her cuddles!! Having another newborn in the family is such a blessing. It will be a blessed week for sure and would love some prayers for my niece and sister for a safe journey to earth side!
