No not doing yoga, just eating good food.
Comfort food to me equals warm bowl of noodles with lots of flavors!
You know how I was mentioning in a past post about rice cookers? Yeah, well, they are pretty much awesome. If you don’t have one, get one. Its so nice to just put in what you need and press go. Then come back and……poof, its done. Go get a bowl and spoon and you got yourself a happy camper!
So this is a pretty amazing concept, right?
Lets gets a little experimental shall we…..grab the lab coat and goggles.
Okay, here we go girls (and guys).
- 16 ounzes of macaroni noodles
- 1 jar prego
- 2 cups of water
- frozen spinach to your liking
- 1 bag of frozen onions and peppers
- s&p to taste
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Preheat frozen veggies in microwave and put into rice cooker with water, prego sauce, and garlic.
- Start the the rice cooker.
- About halfway insert uncooked noodles.
Wait patiently. Bing.
People, we are good to go on the goulosh. Please grab your spoon, bowel, appetite and then stuff your face.
Okay, on a serious note though….this was so nice, easy, and worry free. Plus its comfort food so, yeah, get in my belly.
Here it has been back to cold, though spring is on its way soon…I am embracing all the snow I can get. Its soooooo pretty! However, in our little home, we have had some sickies here recently. Our daughter got the chicken pox (it has been very mild and I have used home remedies to appease the itchiness) and my husband has had a sore throat and migraine for the past 48 hours. I have not recieved any symptoms thanks to my daily dose of spinach;)
How is everyone doing with this winter? Any home remedies you would like to share?
Pleas enjoy this dish soon, it has been a life savor with taking care of two! Cuddling up on the couch with a bowl and tea when I get a chance!
