I got myself a little sunburn this past weekend and boy did it feel good!
Did everyone have a happy Easter weekend?
We took Evelyn to a local farm to see baby bunnies, chicks, and calfs. They were all so sweet and we had a hard time leaving!! Then on Easter day it was quite (the good happy content kind), the Easter bunny left presents for Evelyn on a table in the front yard and a treasure hunt in the back!! It was so much fun.
The rest of the day was absolutely beautiful and we spent it outside. I was working on the garden and could here my daughter talk to her animals, run in a circle, fall down, and laugh. Then do it all over again. Noah was working around the house, getting ready for spring. I was in the garden prepping, weeding, and landscaping. It was a great relaxing day with our small little family.
Today, however, I have been walking around in sweats with a coffee mug and a trail of Kleenex left in my wake. I’m not sure if its allergies or if I am coming down with something. So I have been drinking a lot of tea to help with my sinuses. Its helped too. I can breathe finally!
I made myself a snack ( you know, while I could breathe) with some energy boosting homemade gaucomole.
Avocado, being the main ingredient, is an excellent health food that contains a lot of healthy fats for your body! Nom nom nom.
- 1 avocado
- 1 tomato
- ½ lemon
- 1 garlic clove
- s&p to taste
- Dice up avocado and put into a bowl
- Add the rest of ingredients
Some things in life, like this guacamole, are so simple and so good. Using whole foods has changed my life for the best. I see a huge transition from when I used to eat junk food. My energy level goes soaring and my waist gets smaller. I am happier with my mind and body. Avocado doesn’t scare me just because it has a lot of fat. Fat can be good! And avocado isn’t on the best super foods list for nothing!
I hope everyone has a great day!
