I’m sitting here writing this post on my life and I have to say I am feeling pretty darn good! Since I have started blogging professionally I have been a little more aware of the things that I do every day since I am opening them up to my readers and reopening it in my life. For instance today, I drank a little more lemon water today because of my post yesterday. I just had the rest of the hummus I made 4 days ago and put a salad in the same bowl just in case I missed any of the hummus. Pretty ridiculous right?
Also, the other day I was reading a few of my inspirational blogs and this one post really put some things into perspective for me. And that is focusing more on myself and setting goals up on a regular basis. So, I have started setting little goals for myself and creating lists too to get the items I want done that day, done. Lists play a big role in my life and I get a big satisfaction if I get my goals done for that day. For instance my blog, I have been making small goals every day so that eventually those big goals won’t seem so tough and in the long run, every little thing you do does add up. In result, making a big impact for the better.
My baby goals I plan on setting up are listed below:
Goal #1- Organization with life goals and to-dos
Accomplish this by following a day planner daily. Start a morning list for the day and get a large calendar so that I can plan ahead.
Goal#2-Making special time for loved ones. I know I am home most of the day but I want to make sure I am giving my daughter quality time rather than running around cleaning the house while she plays in her room. This happens but I want to make sure it happens in small doses. Kids are only young once so appreciate the now. Same goes for my husband. He is gone all day long and I feel like we only get to see each other on the weekends besides sleeping in the same bed. So we are making a point to eat breakfast in the morning together as a family. Sure, its a small adjustment but I think it will have a big outcome for us.
Goal #3- Focus on myself and make time for working out. Since I have had my daughter this has been a conflict for me. I used to hike and walk miles a day with my dog. Times were simple then but not as fun as it is now! I still hike and walk but not consistently and not as much as I should. So I need to either do it before everyone wakes or make it work throughout the day with my daughter. This will be interesting but it is something that I need in my life. Both with confidence with my body and it’s a huge de-stressor for me!
So as a conclusion, I guess this is a post resolution for me….a little late but hey, when I’m inspired, I’m inspired:). After a hard time thinking things over, I really need these goals in my life. I truly believe this will make me even more happier and complete with my life. No matter where we are in our lives there is always room for improvement and as time goes on, our circumstances always change.
Wish me luck and I will be sharing with all of you on how it goes on our future life posts. I hope this inspires you to focus on yourself a bit more and see on ways you can improve too!
