The absence this week has been due to work overload and spring parties but I am glad to share with you that it will be calming down soon and I am so excited to sit Indian style with a messy bun and my crooked glasses typing away like the crazy momma I am! I wasn’t sure whether to share a life, food, wellness, or drink post today because I have so many ideas to share with you all and I finally decided on a wellness post!
Evelyn and I have been trying something new, we will see how long it lasts but it has most definitely been fun these past two weeks. On Saturday nights we have been having a spa therapy session held in our home for ourselves. Haha! Along with our game nights our little cottage has quite the busy schedule these days!
I started two weeks ago because I have been drinking tea like crazy and I was just browsing on pinterest (of course) on different ways to use teas and I came across a couple of interesting sites! I discovered what is called a tea bag bath. Have you ever heard of such a thing?
If you put 5-10 green tea bags in a warm bath and sit in it, you are doing your body a huge favor.
- Naturally detoxes your body
- Gives the skin a mass amount of nutrients
- Relaxes you
- Reduces dandruff
- Improves hair growth (and reducing hair loss)
- Green tea makes the skin glow
- Works as an anti aging agent
I can vouch in just the two tea baths that I have had with my wee one!
A couple of other fun ideas that Evelyn and I decided to include with this project of ours is adding a nice calming music on Pandora, adding some sea salt and coconut oil (also very beneficial for the body). We even added a few flower petals just for the fun.
We relaxed, giggled, and talked in our spa bath. Then when it was time (45 minutes later yikes!) we decided to get out. Let me tell ya, we were refreshed and happy campers!
PS: When you are done with the green tea bags don’t pitch them! Put them at the base of house plants or in your landscape to give your plants a boost!
