Happy New Years! Eating some kiwi up in here!
So lets get down to business! What are some of your new Year resolutions?? I hope you’re 2016 year was wonderful, but whether it was or not, I am hoping 2017 is even better for you.
We have been very blessed this past year and I can’t wait to see what this year will be like!! Having two children seems almost daunting but my excitement completely overshadows that! Embracing all the time I have with Evelyn now and including her on preparing for Lillie.
Some of my New Year resolutions include:
- Incorporating yoga everyday or every other day ( I am the type of person that needs to do something full time, daily, otherwise I tend to let it slip..)
- Self reflect often, I have been doing this very much so here recently, being cooped up indoors with the cold weather, this is also when I blog more…when the sun comes out I get lost in the forest, or garden, or outside just in general. Trying to balance this out this year.
- Balancing two little girls with grace. Very important to me that I still give Evelyn just as much attention without neglecting Lillie. It will be interesting!
- And just strive to be a better person than I was the day before
Lillie has me craving hearty healthy foods! Which is good considering Evelyn had me chasing cinnamon rolls each morning! Here we have whole wheat nut toast, red pepper hummus, chia seeds, and sliced almonds! This little girl sure is a healthy one! YUM!!
We all can use self improvement, I read a quote that said,
“What a sad thing it would be, if I was the same person as I was last year”
And how very true!
Let’s embrace the changes together, it is sad to see some things go, like Evelyn not getting her “R’s” just write when pronouncing a word but oh the beauty as she becomes more of a “big” girl and less of a toddler. The key is to embrace all that you can embrace. Really soak those moments around you.
One of the key reasons I love this blog is because I feel as if it’s a document of my life that I will have forever. In past posts I see things that were different with my home, writing, Evelyn, self.
It’s fun for me!
Anyways, enough jambering, I want to hear about you!
I hope you all are stepping into 2017 on the right foot!
Happy New Years from the Gannon’s!!!
