I hope everyone had a wonder valentines day yesterday!
I know we did!
We don’t exactly celebrate Valentine’s day, we celebrate our anniversary. He proposed to me the day after Valentine’s day (so not to make it predictable were his words I believe) and because it fell on a Monday…. we celebrated yesterday!
What did we do? Well we exchanged our handmade cards, isn’t Evelyn’s cute? Got all dressed up, and went out in the town! We ended up choosing the hibachi grill and it was so much fun. They had fishes inside a little pool that Evelyn just loved. When the chef got there, they did all of these fun tricks that we really enjoyed. Evelyn got to be a part of their show, afterwards she told them to be very careful around the fire. Love my girl!
For the dinner I chose; I decided on hibachi vegetable with steamed rice. They cooked it separately from any meats or eggs and I could watch them which made me happy. It was so delicious too. Evelyn shared my rice with me and before we knew it we were out the door with full bellies and we headed over to Barnes N’ Noble. We purchased three books to add to our growing library.
I daresay my jaw dropped when I saw this and I just had to get this. Does anyone else remember princess bride!?! Seriously one of my favs! And now I have the hard back book so I plan to read a chapter each night to Evelyn when she gets a little older, maybe 5( she really likes books with pictures still). Noah picked out the hobbit and another book called Blood Miridean? He’s pretty excited about it!
After that, we made a stop to target (literally obsessed with that place but spend way too much money there) to pick up Evelyn a few possible presents for her birthday.
Then we were on our way home and Evelyn fell asleep which is so rare! When we got home we all cuddled up and just relaxed. It was snowing big fluffy cotton balls yesterday it was so pretty!
So yeah I would say our day was a success!
My breakfast this morning was pretty basic, just cut up fruit! Time to go play in the snow.
