Wow, these days have been soooooo busy.
I apologize for the few days that I was away. My sister flew in from Orlando, she is seven months pregnant, and I got to have the privilege of throwing her a baby shower. I can’t take full credit though, I asked a lot of help from family and friends to help make this shower everything she wanted it to be and I can say with the utmost confidence that we succeeded! My sister was exuberant and everyone had a great time!
She flew in this past Thursday in the late evening and we were so excited to see her and her baby belly! She was glowing truly!
Me hyped up on coffee, nerves and excitement the day of. Oh and lacking sleep.
I included a few pics from the beautiful shower too!
Got my sweet unborn niece in this picture! Shes the one in the flowers;)
We started off with food; for drinks we had a hot chocolate station with a variety of fun condiments to put on top (candy cane stir sticks, marshmallows, whip cream, chocolate shavings), and water. For food we had a soup station consisting of broccoli and cheese, spicy garlic tomato (I made it can ya tell with the garlic?), and potato soup with miniature grilled cheeses on the side. Not to mention the darling treats above. After everyone was done eating, we passed out an A-Z name suggestion chart for the new girl! Then my sweet sister got to open her presents and lots of tears and laughter were throughout the hall!
Afterwards, we had a bib decorating contest and two other word games. We had people winning golden ducks, fancy chocolates, and bath and body works sprays.
It was loads of fun and my sister was glowing with gratitude. A real fun crowd too and a huge turn out! I am so happy it is over though, I have been stressing out for a while on it but the fact that my sister was happy was all that mattered.
Thank you favors for the guests. We had a sign saying, “Thanking you for making this day so sweet”.
The shower’s theme was based on, “ Baby it’s cold outside” and we wanted to make it a winter wonderland. Pinterest aided us a lot in ideas for decorations and I highly recommend bringing in back up help for big parties like this. Its exhausting if its all you! It surely helped me and I was so appreciative for it!
